Using EPA approved testing methodology, Selective Micro® demonstrated both 50 and 100ppm concentrations of pure chlorine dioxide meet efficacy standards for microbial reduction. This recommendation is fully substantiated by empirical evidence. This is especially true as considered or measured against other commonly known or used decontamination agents. Use the link below to view the products tested list with ATP which meet hospital disinfectant standards.

Using AOAC Use-Dilution Test, 10 carrier screen, Selective Micro Technologies (SMT) demonstrated point-of-use, pure chlorine dioxide successfully kills Acinetobacter baumannii. Selective Micro® testing demonstrated zero positive carriers remaining after 10 minute contact time at standard 100ppm use concentration. Acinetobacter baumannii is a gram negative superbug, which is a pathogen that can easily thrive on inanimate surfaces for months at a time, is causing severe nosocomial infections throughout hospitals and other healthcare facilities alike. Point-of-use, pure chlorine dioxide technology is USPTO patented and EPA registered, FDA approved and OMRI organic certified by SMT.

Selective Micro Technologies demonstrated pure chlorine dioxide successfully kills Carbapenem Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae at greater than 99.9999%. The test was also conducted according to EPA registration standards using active ingredient at the lowest certified limit (LCL). Test demonstrated successful efficacy at 10 minute contact time. According to CDC, “CRE, which stands for carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, are a family of germs that are difficult to treat because they have high levels of resistance to antibiotics. Klebsiella species and Escherichia coli (E. coli) are examples of Enterobacteriaceae, a normal part of the human gut bacteria, that can become carbapenem-resistant.” CRE bacteria are highly contagious and marked by severe illness or even death. Selective Micro Technologies volunteers to assist with organic review personnel for test and evaluation of pure chlorine dioxide technology. Selective Micro® ultra-pure chlorine dioxide has been reviewed and approved by OMRI as well as the FDA and EPA. Volunteer testing and sampling with each of these agencies ensures product stewardship as well as maintains the highest of ISO quality compliance.

Selective Micro® personnel met with U.S. Virgin Island Health Commissioner Plaskett and Island Senator Hansen for hospital mold remediation proposals. Selective Micro® technicians are designated for application and protocol development pertaining to mold remediation, surface disinfection, and atmospheric deodorization using pure chlorine dioxide technology. The company will offer its expertise to San Luis Hospital in St. Croix as well as Roy Lester Schneider Hospital in St. Thomas, VI.
