Dosing pumps, dilution equipment, and accessories
SMT offers a wide range of options tailored specifically to meet the requirements and desires of the end user. These options include automatic dilution equipment for general janitorial/sanitation, dosing pumps for water treatment applications, and other accessories such as chlorine dioxide test strips.
Drums, carboys, and other generation tanks

SMT can supply any volume size tank for generation of solution such as 30-gallon drums, 10-liter carboys, or 5-gallon tanks. Volume generated will be determined by desired end use concentration, as well as dilution capabilities.
Low range chlorine dioxide test strips

Operational Qualification & Test Strip Description: Low Range, Ultra-Low Range.
The low range series test strips for measuring chlorine dioxide incorporates the following: a redox indicator, buffer, and chlorine inhibitor. These test strips are formulated to test chlorine dioxide via colorimetric analysis in the range of 0-10 ppm. The reaction of chlorine dioxide with the redox indicator yields a pink color proportional to the amount of chlorine dioxide present. These strips inhibit 1.5 ppm chlorine or greater. Bromine, iodine, and permanganate will deliver a positive interference. Free chlorine above 2 ppm will also deliver a positive interference. High levels of chloramine and monochloramine will slowly interfere with the accuracy of chlorine dioxide measurement. Hydrogen peroxide, even at 3%, does not interfere. Chlorite does not yield a positive interference (up to 750 ppm) nor does it consume or interfere with the chlorine inhibitor. No other significant interference is noted when testing with 5 ppm iron, copper or manganese, 20 ppm quat, 40 ppm polyquat, chelant to remove 5 ppm metals, 1 ppm copper algaecide, at pH 6-8.4, at temperatures 15C-40C. 100 ppm cyanuric acid may affect the accuracy of the test strip, causing low colorimetric readings.
Strip Quality Assurance: The performance of each batch of test strips is verified using chlorine dioxide standards. The concentration standard for Selective Micro® high purity chlorine dioxide is verified using the SMART test, chlorine dioxide 3644-SC (colorimeteric, DPD)
Wide range chlorine dioxide test strips

Operational Qualification & Test Strip Description: Wide Range.
The wide range test strips for measuring chlorine dioxide incorporate the following: an oxidant test strip, a redox indicator, and a buffer. The test strips are formulated to test chlorine dioxide via colorimetric analysis in the range of 0-500 ppm. The reaction of chlorine dioxide with the redox indicator yields a green color proportional to the amount of chlorine dioxide present. Chlorine*, Bromine, iodine, permanganate, and monopersulfate will deliver a positive interference with these test strips. Hydrogen peroxide, even at 3%, does not interfere. No significant interference is noted when testing with 5 ppm iron, copper or manganese, 20 ppm quat, 40 ppm polyquat, chelant to remove 5 ppm metals, 1 ppm copper algaecide, at pH 6-8.4, at temperatures 15C-40C, nor with 100 ppm cyanuric acid.*No inhibitor is included for this formula so chlorine (free or combined) at any level will likely interfere.
Strip Quality Assurance: The performance of each batch of test strips is verified using chlorine dioxide standards. The concentration standard for Selective Micro® high purity chlorine dioxide is verified using iodometric method. This method is similar to that described in 4500-ClO2 B. Iodometric Method. Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 2005 American Public Health Association et al., 21st edition.
